Megan Elizabeth Petty and Phillip Michael Ludwig were united in marriage on June 23, in an outdoor wedding at Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Marietta. The double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Robert Hughes. The bride is the daughter of Richard and Linda Petty of Marietta and the granddaughter of Russ and Norma Richardson of Williamstown and Becky and the late Gene Petty of Williamstown. The bridegroom is the son of Ronda and the late Michael Ludwig of Marietta and the grandson of Roy and Freda Stephens of Marietta and Alvin and Jean Ludwig of Devola, Ohio.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Emily Petty of Marietta, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Sarah Cook of Vienna, W.Va. The best man was Stephen Ludwig of Reno, Ohio, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Nathan Hill of Lowell.

The bride wore a white satin off-the-shoulder A-line dress with a side-draped bodice. She also wore custom designed blue and brown Chuck Taylors that matched the bridegroom's. The flowers were blue hydrangeas and white daisies.

The pianist was Sloane Matics, piano teacher and friend of the bride.

The reception immediately followed outside at Souls Harbor Baptist Church.

The cake was made by Sloane Matics and decorated with raffia, blue hydrangeas and white daisies and had a handmade twine cake topper.

The bride graduated from Williamstown High School and from West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a certificate in Surgical Technology. The bridegroom graduated from Wood County Christian School and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprenticeship and is now a Pipefitter with Local 168 of Marietta.

The couple took a honeymoon trip on their motorcycle to Vermont.

The couple resides in Barlow.
