- The first fall Unique Boutique will be held Nov. 6 and 7 at the Washington Square Shopping Center. The boutique will feature used clothing for women and children, various accessories and jewelry.

- Three separate forest fires kept area firefighters busy Wednesday, Nov. 4. The dry weather promoted the fire spreading throughout the sections of Wayne National Forest near Newport.

- The Elks' Bazaar and Carnival opened Nov. 4. Each floor was highly decorated and had booths and stores set up, and a vaudeville show was performed.
