Class will offer free Thanksgiving meal
The Singles and Doubles class of the First Baptist Church will be offering its Caring and Sharing free lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 301 Fourth St., Marietta. The public is invited.
The menu will include a typical Thanksgiving dinner. The class offers this free community lunch as a part of its Christian Outreach Ministry on the second Saturday of each month.
Soup supper benefit is planned Saturday
A Full Gospel Temple soup supper benefit will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Decatur Community Building, 6505 State Route 555 in Decaturville. The cost is a donation.

American Girl tea at Betsey Mills Nov. 17
An American Girl holiday tea featuring "Caroline Abbott" will be held for girls 7 to 12 years old from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 in the Betsey Mills Club dining room.
Girls can bring dolls for the afternoon tea featuring parlor games and food. Tickets are $12 for Betsey members and $15 for non-members.

MHS marching band plans Nov. 13 concert
The Marietta High School Marching Band the Wall of Sound will hold its marching band concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Marietta High School auditorium. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring canned food items for the Marietta Food Pantry.
Extension Office will hold Meet and Greet
The Washington County Extension Office will hold a Meet and Greet at the Extension Office to allow the public to meet the new 4-H Youth Development Educator, Alison Baker.
The event will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Washington County Extension Office, 202 Davis Ave., Marietta. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served.

Bingo will benefit afterschool program
There will be Bingo Saturday at Cutler Community Center. Doors open at 2 p.m. and games begin at 3 p.m. The proceeds will benefit God's Gang, an afterschool program. There will be Longaberger baskets, pottery and wrought iron.
