Senior Dylan Leffingwell accomplished a lot in his three years as the starting quarterback for the Warren Warriors and capped off his high school football career by being named Southeastern Ohio Athletic League Player of the Year for 2012.
"It's a great honor just to be recognized," Leffingwell said. "It's nice to have earned the respect of the coaches who voted for me."
Leffingwell, who plans to continue his football career at the collegiate level, is the school's all-time leading passer with 4,914 yards under his belt, including 1,341 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.

"I'm extremely proud," said Warren head coach Andy Schob. "He's put in so much work in his career, and he's done everything he's been asked to do. He changed roles this year. He knew he wouldn't throw as much and he handled it well."
One reason Leffingwell didn't have to throw as much this season was due to the emergence at running back of senior Austin Kuhn. Kuhn, who earned first team All-SEOAL honors, set a single-game school record with 322 rushing yards in a game against Portsmouth. Kuhn also had 885 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
"Kuhn had around 600 yards the last five games," Schob said. "He really came on strong towards the end of the season."
Senior Chas Miller also earned first team All-SEOAL honors. Miller played all over the field for the Warriors, getting significant time at running back and linebacker while handling the kicking and punting duties.
"(Miller) pretty much did everything," Schob said. "He never came off of the field, mostly because we couldn't afford him coming off. He was one of our most intense players on both sides of the ball."
Miller set a school record by connecting on a 47 yard field goal against Jackson, and also ranked first in Division II in punting.
Warren also saw seniors Tanner Barrows and Andrew Vincent claim honorable mention All-SEOAL honors.
Barrows, an offensive lineman and linebacker, recorded 120 tackles this season, which was tops on the team as well as fourth in Division II. Barrows, a three year starter, also performed well on offense, clearing holes for the running backs and providing protection for Leffingwell from the left guard position.
Vincent, a wide receiver and defensive back, did a great job of taking over the top wideout spot this season after the departures of Jeremy Fivecoait and Jeremy Hastie. Vincent's 53 receptions this season are second all time at Warren, trailing only Fivecoait's 58 catches last year. Vincent also joined Fivecoait, Brandon Church and Grant Venham as the only Warren receivers with over 700 yards in a season. "Tanner blocked well all season long," Leffingwell said. "Andrew at wide receiver, catching the ball and making plays, was huge."
Warren went 4-6 on the gridiron this season.
