Suicide prevention group seeks supporters

November 10, 2012
The Marietta Times

Hello Washington County Suicide Prevention Coalition stakeholders.

I am writing to implore your participation in the next Suicide Prevention Coalition meeting scheduled Thursday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m. We need new, current and old participants to come together and share in the good work we are doing. We have achieved much in the first year and a half but it has become apparent that we need to regroup and prepare for the upcoming year. Coalition accomplishments include:

As a group, we need to strengthen our coalition and reach out to individuals in need. This will happen through increased awareness, gatekeeper training and an increased presence in Washington County.

We have made some strides, but the goal has not been realized; we must enter the new-year reorganized and more clearly defined in focus and goals. We look forward to seeing you at 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
