Museums' friends to present fundraiser

The Friends of the Museums, Inc. will present "An Evening at the Museum" from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday as a fundraiser to support the operations of the Campus Martius and Ohio River museums. The event will highlight the museums' accomplishments of the past three years since the Friends of the Museums assumed management and visitors will learn about current and future projects and programs. There will also be Civil War music performed by Steve Ball and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased through any of the host committee members, a Friends of the Museums board member or by contacting the Campus Martius Museum at 373-3750. The cost is $50 per person.

Thanksgiving feast at Norwood church

A free Thanksgiving Day feast will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Norwood United Methodist Church, 23 Colegate Drive, Marietta. For delivery call 374-5606 and leave a message.

There will be a meeting for interested volunteers at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Belpre library offers computer classes

The Belpre location of the Washington County Public Library, 2012 Washington Blvd. will offer the following free computer classes in November:

Welcome to Enterprise at 10 a.m. Nov. 26. Learn how to use Enterprise, the library's new online catalog. Find out how to search for items, place holds and renew items from your home computer.

Introduction to the Internet at 1 p.m. Nov. 26.

Breakfast with Santa at Warren High

Breakfast with Santa will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 1 in the Warren High School cafeteria. Santa and the elves will be present. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice, milk, coffee and hot chocolate.

Work day Saturday at Marietta dog park

The Marietta Community Dog Park will hold a work day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. With enough volunteers participating, this can be the final work day before the off-leash, fenced-in dog park is open. There is a task for everyone, from planting seed to stringing fence.
