Ronald Duane Lowther, 67, of Waterford, Ohio, died Friday (Nov. 16, 2012) at his home. He was born Nov. 13, 1945, in Ellenboro, W.Va., son of Lawrence and Opal Bircher Lowther.
He had been a truck driver for 43 years. He served in the US Army and was a member of The Waterford Church of the Nazarene.
He was married June 26, 1965, to Linda Kay Jackson Lowther who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Ronda Sprague and husband Raymond H. III of Bellevue, Nebraska and Kimberly Binegar and husband John of Waterford; four grandchildren, Timothy Sprague and Rebekah Sprague of Bellevue, Neb., Ashley Payne and husband Travis of Waterford and Jacob Binegar of Waterford; two brothers, Harold Lowther and wife Helen of Chester, W.Va. and Paul Lowther and wife Patty of Pennsboro, W.Va.; three sisters, Betty Sheets and husband Dick of Greenwood, W.Va., Eileen King of Akron, Ohio, and Emma Lou McGinnis and Denny Black of Harrisville, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eddy Lowther.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at The Waterford Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating.
