Frontier BOE will meet Monday
The Frontier Board of Education will meet for its November board meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Frontier High School.
Streets committee to discuss intersection
A Marietta City Council streets committee meeting scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday will include discussion on the status of a project to redesign the intersection of Ohio 7, Greene and Seventh streets and provide recommendations for moving forward. The meeting will be held in the second floor conference room at 304 Putnam St. and is open to the public.
Free Thanksgiving dinner is offered
The Lowell United Methodist Church will host a free community Thanksgiving Day Dinner from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (or while food lasts) Thursday. The church is located on the corner of Fourth and Market streets in Lowell. The meal will be served in the Social Hall which faces Market Street.
Our Lady of Mercy holding breakfast
Our Lady of Mercy Church, Lowell Hill Road, Lowell, will hold an all-you-can-eat sausage and pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.
Devola Santa parade will be held Dec. 9
The Devola Volunteer Fire Company's annual Santa Parade and canned food drive will begin at noon Dec. 9 at the Pit Stop on Ohio 821. The parade will proceed through the main streets of Devola. People may donate canned goods for local pantries during the parade or drop them off at the firehouse anytime. Children can come out to see Santa until 2 p.m.
Madrigal Dinner event at Warren
The Warren High School Choral Department will present "Madrigal Dinner" and Musical Entertainment of the Medieval Times Dec. 8. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 7 p.m. The event will be held at St. Ambrose Church in Little Hocking. The cost is $15 per person, with all tickets sold in advance. Presbyterian Church offers free lunch
First Presbyterian Church of Marietta is offering a free lunch for the community from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The church is located on the corner of Wooster and Fourth streets with the entrance off Wooster Street.
