Brooks and Linda Freed of Marietta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 24 with family.
They were married on Nov. 24, 1962, at the Seventh Street United Brethren Church in Parkersburg with the Rev. James Reed officiating.
He is the son of Betty Freed and the late I. D. Freed of Parkersburg and is semi-retired, currently self-employed.
She is the daughter of the late Gerald Marshall and Mae Marshall of Parkersburg. She is retired from Broughton Foods Company and currently works as a medical transcriptionist.
They have two children, Steven Freed and Jason Freed (Kristi), both of Marietta. They have four grandchildren: Stephanie, Joshua, Christian and Allie Freed.
