Marietta FFA plans square dance
The Marietta FFA will hold a square dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Junior Fair Buildings at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The cost is $5 per person, $8 per couple or $12 per family.
Upward Basketball taking applications
First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Road, Marietta, is planning its Upward Basketball for children kindergarten through fourth grades for the 2013 year. The applications can be picked up early at the church office Tuesday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. or at the evaluations. Evaluation dates are Nov. 27 and 29. Evaluations for kindergarten through second grade is 6 to 7 p.m. on both dates. Evaluations for third and fourth graders is 7 to 8 p.m. on both dates. The cost is $60 per player for early registration. After Nov. 29 the cost is $75 and the deadline for registration is Dec. 4.

Craft and bake sale at O'Neill Center
The O'Neill Center will hold its annual craft and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1. There will be more than 20 crafters and bakers selling their goods. Vendor space is available for $10 per table. The sale is open to the public. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the RSVP board.
Book club at
New Matamoras
The New Matamoras Library's Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 in the library community room. This month's selection, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," by Stephen Chbosky, may be picked up at the circulation desk prior to Nov. 30.

Decatur 4-H's annual deer hunters meal
The Decatur Buckeyes 4-H Club will have its annual deer hunter's soup supper from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Decatur Community Building on Ohio 555 in Little Hocking. All hunters and their families are welcome. Donations are welcome.
Pasta dinner to help Devola Fire Co.
The Devola Volunteer Fire Company will hold a pasta dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 to raise money for first responders where there was damage from Superstorm Sandy. Monetary donations will be accepted .
