Pioneer holidays at Campus Martius

The Campus Martius Museum in Marietta will offer Pioneer Style Celebrations Dec. 2. Those at the museum can talk to pioneer interpreters about what they did for the holidays. Guest speaker Louise Zimmer will tell stories about early pioneer celebrations. Pioneer refreshments will be served all day. Programs are from 1 to 4 p.m. and the museum is open from noon to 5 p.m. Regular museum admission applies.

MMH, Selby to hold craft bazaar

Marietta Memorial Hospital Volunteers and Selby General Hospital Friends of Selby will hold their annual Christmas Craft Bazaar from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Marietta First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Road. The event is free and open to the public and will feature hundreds of handmade crafts by local artists, including items such as jewelry, woodwork, flower arrangements, scented candles and hand-sewn items. There will also be a concession stand. Proceeds from the event benefit various projects and services throughout both hospitals.

Noble Historical Society open house

The Noble County Historical Society is planning an open house event at the Historic Jail Museum, 419 West St., Caldwell, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8. Admission is by donation and will be used to continue the preservation of the Historic Jail Museum. Judy McMullen's display of her collection of Dickens Village Department 56 will decorate the building. Roger Pickenpaugh's new book, "Noble County, Ohio: A History" will be on sale and the author will be at the museum from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 and from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 to sign the books.

Used book sale at Barlow Library

A used book sale will be held at the Barlow Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1. There will also be crafters from Christmas in the Village.

'Wallflower' is book club selection

The New Matamoras Library's Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 in the library community room. This month's selection, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," by Stephen Chbosky, may be picked up at the circulation desk prior to Nov. 30.
