On Nov. 8, I was blessed to be able to go to Little Hocking School to attend an all-day event to honor our veterans. So at this time, I would like to thank my grandson, Seth Dennis, for inviting me and all the students and faculty and all those who volunteered their time to honor all those in uniform past and present who keep our country safe and the freedom we have in this great nation.
When the student body sang, "God Bless the U.S.A.," that was the first time since I came home from Vietnam in 1971 that I felt like I could hold my head up and be proud I served my country. So I want to thank all those who have served and those who gave their life for our safety and freedom.
Also, for those who read this, I say just as freedom comes with a price so does the forgiveness of our sin. It cost Jesus Christ his life for the forgiveness of sin. For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. No sin was found in Him so look to Him and Him alone to forgive you and to give you a righteousness that will last forever.
Pray that our president and those in power work as hard for our freedom as our military personnel and also pray that our Lord, Jesus Christ, continues to bless and protect our great nation.
