Richard "Dick" David St. Peter, 80, of Marietta, passed away Saturday (Dec. 1, 2012) at his residence.
He was born Thursday, Jan. 7, 1932, in Greenfield, Mass., to the late Erastus Paul and Evelyn Caron St. Peter. Dick worked as a self-employed interior decorator. He graduated from Greenfield High School and served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Pensacola, Fla. on the U.S.S. Monterey CVL-26. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Marietta Lion's Club and American Legion Post #64.
Dick is survived by his sons, David R. St. Peter (Darlene) of Marietta, and their children, Ashley and Christopher St. Peter and John P. St. Peter (Candy) of Dennison, Ohio, and their children, Joseph and Kenny Foley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Peloquin St. Peter (Nov. 20, 2008); and a brother, Alexander "Pete" St. Peter.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday (Dec. 5, 2012) at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Tuesday (Dec. 4) at Hadley Funeral Home, 500 Fifth St.
