The Marietta Times

- The Marietta City Council approved pay increases for 1988 for city supervisors. The raises total $25,495.

- The Marietta Tree Commission is urging those who had trees planted in front of their homes last month to water them. Five buckets of water should be poured around the bases to keep the trees healthy.

- A turkey dinner will be held at the Marietta Baptist Church Thursday, Dec. 5 at 5:30. Ice cream and cake will be provided as dessert.

- Marietta police officials are looking for John Sersain, a 13-year-old runaway. The boy has already been taken before Probate Judge A.L. Smith for not attending classes, and will likely be sent to a reform school in Lancaster once he is found.
