Dylan Leffingwell and Chas Miller each is the epitome of a student-athlete.
Recently, the two Warren football players were named to the 2012 Academic All-Ohio football team by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association (OHSFCA).
Both were coached by third-year Warrior gridiron boss Andy Schob.
Including all divisions, Leffingwell - a 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior quarterback - and Miller - a 5-11, 185-pound senior running back/kicker - were two of 99 players throughout the state of Ohio receiving this prestigious honor.
In the classroom, Leffingwell owns a 3.62 GPA (grade point average) while Miller has a 3.86 GPA.
No other 2012 Washington County prep football player was selected to the Academic All-Ohio list.
Leffingwell and Miller also made school history as the first Warrior football players to ever be honored Academic All-Ohio.
Each is no stranger to Warren football records as Leffingwell passed for a career and school-best 4,914 yards (including 1,341 yards and 12 touchdowns this past season) while Miller kicked a school-record 47-yard field goal in a game at Jackson.
After the season, Leffingwell and Miller each received numerous football awards.
Leffingwell was an All-Ohio special mention honoree, a first-team All-Southeast District pick, and Southeastern Ohio Athletic League (SEOAL) Player of the Year while Miller was a third-team All-Ohio selection, first-team All-Southeast District and first-team All-SEOAL.
Currently, Leffingwell is playing basketball for the undefeated and Blane Maddox-coached Warren boys' squad.
Leffingwell is the son of Dan and Debbie Leffingwell.
Miller is the son of Charlie and Michelle Miller.
And, finally...on Monday night, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson wrote the names of the victims of the Connecticut school massacre on his football shoes, and then during a nationally televised game against the New Jork Jets ran 94 yards for a touchdown.
