A reception held at Washington State Community College (WSCC) honored and recognized the college's first fall semester graduates. Sixty-seven students are candidates for graduation after the 2012 fall semester; candidates, along with their friends and family, attended the Dec. 11 reception.
WSCC President Dr. Bradley J. Ebersole presented opening and closing remarks, with an official Acknowledgment of graduates officiated by WSCC board of trustee member Shoshanna Brooker.
"We were very pleased to be able to officially recognize those students graduating at the end of our first-ever fall semester," said Dr. Ebersole." Students, their families, and college faculty and staff celebrated in their success. It was a wonderful evening."

Interesting notes on the 2012 fall semester candidates for graduation:
Two of the candidates are second generation WSCC graduates, whose parents also graduated from the college.
Seventeen graduates are from the Associate Degree in Nursing program, who held their pinning ceremony in November.
Four graduates are members of the two-year college academic honor society Phi Theta Kappa.
Fall semester graduate candidate Jarrod Arnold, of Beverly, is Washington State Community College's first graduate of the GeoSciences Transfer degree.
