Archaelogy event at Campus Martius
"Digging the Past: Archaeology Day" will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at Campus Martius Museum, Second Street, Marietta. The cost is regular museum admission.
The event will include an artifact identification clinic, lectures and flint knapping demonstrations. Private collections of historic and prehistoric artifacts will also be on display. Contemporary items will be on sale.

Annual bridal event set for Jan. 6 at MC
Bridal Extravaganza 2013 will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 6 at Dyson Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College. Registration is at 12:30. Admission is $5 per person.

Vincent food pantry plans clothing sale
The Western Washington County Food Pantry in Vincent will hold a $2-a-bag Christmas clothing sale through Dec. 31. The hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays.

Matinee at library is for adults of all ages
Adults of all ages are invited to a Saturday afternoon matinee featuring the classic musical "Oliver" at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the Marietta library meeting room at 615 Fifth St.
Toastmasters group meets each month
Marietta Toastmasters meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at Christ United Methodist Church, 301 Wooster St., Marietta. The goal of the organization is learning public speaking skills.

Space for exhibitors available at Teddy Bear and Doll Show
The 22nd annual Teddy Bear & Doll Show & Sale has space available for exhibitors.
Exhibitors include original artists of bears and dolls, collectors interested in selling and other merchants who specialize in accessories for teddy bears and dolls. Tables are $35 each.
