Fort Frye board will meet on Thursday
The Fort Frye Local Board of Education will hold its organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Beverly-Center Elementary School, 510 5th St., Beverly.
The board's January regular meeting will follow immediately after the conclusion of the organizational meeting.
Soup and sandwich meal at Palmer site
A public soup and sandwich meal will be served at the Palmer Community Building on Ohio 676 from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26. A variety of soups, sandwiches and desserts will be available for a freewill donation.
The event, sponsored by the Palmer United Methodist Church, will benefit the newly installed township fire hydrant as well as Community Building upkeep.

Dog park volunteers seek feedback, ideas
Marietta Community Dog Park volunteers are asking for feedback and ideas from the community.
An informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lookout Park Community Center, 801 Lancaster St., Marietta.
Volunteers are being sought for a working advisory board as well as people who can give an hour or two of their time on occasion.

The organizational meeting of the Warren Local Board of Education will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the administration building in Vincent. The board's January regular meeting will follow immediately after.
Masonic lodge will hold soup luncheon
The Beverly Masonic Lodge will hold a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday with four kinds of soup, sandwiches and dessert.
