William ‘Bill’ Jonathan Balsley

William "Bill" Jonathan Balsley, 66, of Franklin, Tenn., died (Jan. 10, 2013). Born Oct. 26, 1946, in Uniontown, Pa. Graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers!). Previous owner and director of the TV series "Fishing University" and owner and director of Thirtys Film Productions.

Survived by parents, Albert and Suzanne Daniel Balsley of Williamstown; wife, Janis A. Balsley of Franklin, Tenn.; son, Jon Ryan Balsley of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Karin Kathleen Balsley of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Gretchen Sue (Shean) McManus of Tampa, Fla.; stepchildren, Seth (Jamie) Grimenstein of Nashville, Tenn., and Erin (Marty) Rowland of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ella-Rose Rowland (his bowl of sugar) and Callie Mae Grimenstein; sister in-law, Toni L. Stuart; brother in-law, William "Bill" Stuart Sr. of Moberly, Mo.

Memorial services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 12, 2013) at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Father Bill Midgett officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, Tenn., 37203.
