- The Japanese Macaque monkey that escaped the Pittsburgh Zoo July 23 has been captured near Bellaire, Ohio.
- Marietta City Schools, in cooperation with the city police and Washington County Sheriff's Office, will offer fingerprinting of elementary and middle school students in February and March. Fingerprinting will not be done without parental consent.
