- Twelve residents were transferred from the Washington County Home as the facility attempts to cut costs. More are expected to be transferred as the Home cuts $18,000 from its $592,789 salary account.

- President M. Rose of the Marietta Board of Trade received word that Gov. Cox will not be able to speak at the annual banquet of the Board. Attorney General Hogan will speak instead.
- Carrall Male was arrested by Constable Devol on the charge of disturbing a religious meeting on Sunday.
