Alma Deloris Jones

Alma Deloris Jones, 89, of New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday (Feb. 19, 2013) at Harmar Place in Marietta. She was born, Aug. 11, 1923, in Rinards Mill, Washington County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roy and Ollie Howell Cline. She was a member of the Merrill Ridge Church of Christ and attended the New Matamoras Church of Christ. She had been head cook at the Bloomfield School. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, and she enjoyed her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Paul) Kirkbride of New Matmoras, Ohio; grandson, Greg (Jerrilyn) Kirkbride of Reno, Ohio; granddaughter, Jodi (Brian) Radabaugh of Waterford, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Josh Kirkbride of Reno, Ohio, Alissa (Quinton) McPeek of Newport, Ohio, and Melanie Radabaugh of Waterford, Ohio, and to most everyone she was affectionately known as G-Maw. She was also survived by a brother-in-Law, Tommy Jones of Rinard's Mills, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Sam" Jones. Services will be held Saturday (Feb. 23) at 11 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Tim Fleeman officiating. Interment will be in the Matamoras Cemetery, New Matamoras, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
