Spaghetti dinner at Post 159 tonight
American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown will hold its Third Thursday Spaghetti Dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today. The cost is $6 per person.
Party to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday
Children ages 3 to 6 are invited to the Marietta Library to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss with an hour of stories, a craft, refreshments and more. The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. March 2 in the library meeting room. Registration is required by stopping by the Youth Services department or calling 373-1057, Ext. 219.
Dinner, auction
benefit at MHS
Friends of Kyle Gregory are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner/auction benefit from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Marietta High School cafeteria to help the Reno man and his family as he recovers from his sixth brain surgery in two years. First Baptist Church of Marietta members are organizing the event that will begin with a dinner of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverages. Pancake, sausage breakfast Sunday
St. John's Christian Women's Club is serving a pancake/sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at St. John Central Grade School in Churchtown. Grismer's religious articles will also be sold. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children or $20 for a family.

Ham, bean dinner
at Gilman church
There will be a ham and bean dinner at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. There will be ham and bean soup or potato soup, served with coleslaw, cornbread, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
