Nina V. Bumgardner Farrar, 86, passed away at her home in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday (Feb. 18, 2013).
Nina Virginia Bumgardner Farrar was born in Rosedale, W.Va. Daughter of the late Bernard and Lucy Bumgardner on July 18 in 1926. She had worked in Parkersburg at several area businesses as a bookkeeper. After her retirement she enjoyed her family and her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and created so many beautiful cross stitch pictures. Nina was Baptist by faith and a member of North Parkersburg Baptist Church
Nina was married to Allan M. Farrar in 1959, who preceded her in death. He was the love of her life. Surviving are three children, Gary Farrar, Jacksonville Fla., Pamela Roberts (Bill), Lowell, Ohio, and Linda Booth (John) of Davisville, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Allison, Amy, Karl, Kris, Kari, Allan, Sam, and Hunter; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jean; and one grandson, Darin.
Friends may call Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Friday (Feb. 22) between 2 and 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday (Feb. 23) at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown, W.Va.
