Several readers have expressed their sincere concern over the lack of action by that august body which governs the USPS and postal legislation passed in 2006 with the oxymoronic moniker, "reform."
A cynic would remark that despite the onerous burden the Postal Service has borne as a consequence of such progressive legislation, Congress has been, and still is, pleased to sit on its hands. An informed and outraged public would write: Note to Congress: do your job and fulfill your constitutional obligation. Otherwise, vacate the offices for elected citizens who would serve under due diligence. With seeming indifference to the present difficulties under which the Postal Service labors without cessation, we have yet to observe any sign of tangible solution beyond their own efforts.
