Authorities sweeping rivers in search of missing man

The search for a missing Parkersburg man broadened to the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers Monday morning.

Crews for Warren, Little Hocking, and Williamstown Volunteer Fire Departments joined the Marietta Fire Department, Marietta Police Department, and West Virginia Department of Natural Resources to sweep the shores and waters of the two rivers today in hopes of locating Carl Austin Travis, 22, who was reported missing Feb 22., but last seen in Marietta Feb. 13.

Cadaver dogs from the West Virginia K-9 Search & Rescue team were also brought in to help search for the young man.
