The Parkersburg Actors Guild will perform "Evita" on March 11, 12, 13, 18 and 19.
A man was shot in the arm after a police chase that started in Parkersburg ended at Summers Motor Sales, Inc. on the Newport Pike in Marietta. The chase started after police questioned the suspect about filing a phony prescription and ended with the suspect getting into a shootout with police.

The general store of William P. Doan, of Stanleyville, was robbed of several knives and stogies.
A considerable number of Marietta men are planning on going to Pittsburgh with the party that will inspect streets and buildings that have been raised to higher levels to help stop flooding.
