DURHAM, N.C. - Mr. Ferman P. Pape, Sr., 90, departed this world March 4, 2013 to join his beloved wife, I. Mae Pape. Mr. Pape was reared in Marietta and had lived in Durham, N.C., for the past eight years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Mr. Pape is survived by a son, Ferman P. "Skip" Pape, Jr. (Darlene) of Durham, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Scott Pape (Janine) of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Lynn DiMarino (Joe) of North Olmstead, Ohio, Ferman P. "Skipper" Pape, III (Mary) of Suwanee, Ga., Marcel Shoemaker of Roanoke, Va., Tony Shoemaker of Chula Vista, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
