Roy E. ‘Sleepy’ Hamilton

Roy Edwin "Sleepy" Hamilton, of Marietta, passed away on Sunday (March 3, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Sleepy was 74 years old being born on July 20, 1938, at St. Marys, W.Va., to the late Glenn and Bessie Morris Hamilton.

He joined the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He owned and operated Clock Billiards, worked at Pastime Pizza and later drove cab for Ohio Valley Cab.

He is survived by his best friend, Ellen Metzler; two sisters, Martha Kaufman of Orient, Ohio, and Danea Carpenter of Marietta; three brothers, Glenn W. (Lois) of Florida, Robert D. (Iris) of Georgia, Tom (Bonnie) of Marietta.

There will be no services as per his wishes he was cremated.
