Dessie A. Taylor

Dessie A. Taylor, 93, of McConnelsville, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday (March 14, 2013) at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Athens County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bert Roberts and Meriby White Roberts.

She was retired from Malta Manufacturing in Malta and was a member of the Neelysville Grange and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Neelysville.

She is survived by one daughter, Iris (Bill) Roe of McConnelsville; one son, Rodney (Bea) Taylor of Vincent; daughter-in-law, Doris Taylor of Stockport; seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen (Doc) Taylor who died in 1987; one son, Roger Taylor; one sister, Betty Louise Harlow; and three brothers, Bert Floyd Roberts, Ira Frances Roberts and Donald Roberts.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., today, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday (March 17) with Pastor Walter Jones officiating.
