The Marietta Tiger Boosters voted unanimously to try to raise $145,950 to fund athletics programs at Marietta City Schools.
The Williamstown City Council approved a $317,000 spending plan for 1988-89. The spending plan assumes that residents will pay an extra $5 a month for municipal services.

Marietta City Council will vote on establishing a parking area near the newly restored Tiber Way building. The decision has the possibility of setting a precedent for other city streets.
Tickets are still available for the March 27 bicentennial concert by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The concert will be held in Marietta College's Ban Johnson Field House.
