Melody Leanne Massar and Kevin Andrew Hadsall were united in marriage Oct. 20, 2012, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Vincent, Ohio. Pastor Charles Kiser, grandfather of the bride, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of George and Diane Massar of Little Hocking. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Mary Kiser of Little Hocking and the late Leonard and Marie Massar of Belpre. She is a 2004 graduate of Wood County Christian School and a 2012 graduate from the Air Force Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. She works as a mathematician for the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Jody Hadsall of Harveys Lake, Pa. He is the grandson of Anthony and Jilda Garosi of Sebring, Fla., and of Margaret Hadsall and the late Bertel Hadsall of Harveys Lake, Pa. He is a 2006 graduate of Lake Lehman High School and a 2012 graduate from the Air Force Institute of Technology with a M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering. As a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, he is stationed at the Air Force Research Lab Materials Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless white gown with side-drape detail, beaded appliques, lace-up back, and a sweep train. She wore a two-tier veil featuring beaded scallop edges, beaded flowers and sequins and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses, pink gerber daisies, and stephanotis.
The maid of honor was Georgia Massar, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Sarah Coontz, Sara Bryant, and Lindsay Smith. They wore oasis-colored satin gowns with a ruched bodice and a chiffon pleated side drape. They carried bouquets of hot pink roses and gerber daisies. The flower girl was Kayleigh Cunningham. She wore a white dress which featured an oasis satin bow.
The best man was Edward Kastreva. The groomsmen were Scott Hadsall, brother of the bridegroom, Leonardo Pugliese, cousin of the bridegroom, and Alan Cunningham. The ring bearer was Blake Cunningham.
Alaina Gibson and Demichelle Krupinski, cousins of the bride, registered the guests and distributed the programs. Zachary Gibson, Elijah Gibson, and Joseph Krupinski, cousins of the bride, were ushers for the ceremony.
Ceremony music was provided by pianist John Mark Conaway, guitarist Thomas Gibson, uncle of the bride, soloist Georgia Massar, sister of the bride, and vocalists Alaina Gibson and Demichelle Krupinski, cousins of the bride.
A dinner reception was held at the Comfort Inn in Marietta following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Dayton, Ohio.
