Zane B. Kesselring, 56, of Marietta, passed away at 12:10 a.m., Monday (March 18, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1956, in Marietta, to the late Lawrence and Fern (Foglesong) Kesselring. Zane was employed at Juda's Hair Again and was an instructor at Preston's Beauty Academy. Zane was an ordained deacon in the Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer Chaplin at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
On Oct. 7, 1978, he married Colleen Way who survives with son, Benjamin L (Melody) Kesselring of Jacksonville, Fla. and their children, Rylee, Karlee, Braydn and Brody; and a daughter, Amanda (Thomas) Adams of Williamstown. A sister, Dawn (Gary) Collins of Marietta, Ga.; and brothers, Eric (Connie) Kesselring of Lenexa, Kan., Karl (Diane) Kesselring of Beverly, Bret (Debbie) Kesselring of Lexington, S.C. and Kyle (Amy) Kesselring of Canal Winchester, Ohio also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Marietta First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry Schmelzenbach and the Rev. Benjamin Kesselring officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m., Wednesday, with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.
