Movie about birds
at wildlife refuge
A free viewing of "Birders: The Central Park Effect" documentary will be held at the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The movie will be shown at Refuge Headquarters, 3982 Waverly Road, Williamstown. The Friends of the Ohio River Islands NWR will be sponsoring the event.

Stronger families topic of program
Family & Children First is sponsoring a spring session of the Strengthening Families 10-14 Program. The program, for parents and youth ages 10 to 14, is a parent, youth, and family skills-building curriculum designed to build family strengths; strengthen parenting skills; and prevent teen substance abuse and other behavior problems. The seven-week session is free, with dinner and child care provided, along with transportation assistance. The spring session will be held Tuesdays, April 2 through May 14 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Ely Chapman Center in Marietta. For more information and to register, call 376-7081.
