Edna G. Elder, a devoted mother, grandmother and sister, 73 of Belpre, passed away Wednesday (March 20, 2013) at her residence.
She was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Marietta, a daughter of Elton "Woody" Parker and Rachel Irene Morrow Parker.
Edna was a homemaker and retired after 29 years at Nashua Photo. She enjoyed being with her family, especially the grandchildren and watching NASCAR.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Wright (Mike) of Columbus, Ohio, and Beverly Maxwell (Mike) of Parkersburg; Grandchildren, Megan, Justin, Aaron, Mitchell, and Macy; Great-grandchildren, Trevor and Alex. Three sisters, Carolyn Sue Dugan (also her faithful caregiver), Thelma Baker (Oren), Charlene Hill (Ron) all of Marietta.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl "Ernie" Elder; two brothers, Gerald and James Leonard Parker; one sister, Oma "Sally" Richards; an infant son, Keith Elder.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday (March 24, 2013) at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio, with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery of Belpre. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday (March 23, 2013) at the funeral home.
