The investigation into wiretapping at the local ODOT office on Muskingum Drive was reported by The Plain Dealer to be just one of many investigations into state employees' offices being bugged.
West Virginia game biologists reported that forty-nine of the nearly 400 deer on Blennerhassett Island died of starvation over the mild winter. Department of Natural Resources biologist Jeff McCrady warned that unless more deer are moved off of the island, where hunting is banned, they will all starve to death.
