The Practical Nursing program at Washington State Community College (WSCC) is still accepting applicants for the May 20 full-time day program. In order to apply, students should have an ACT score of 20 or higher, or take the TEAS-V entrance exam. The entrance exam will be administered on WSCC's campus on two more occasions prior to the program's May 20 start date. The exam dates are Thursday, April 11, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $45 exam fee.
This year, the Practical Nursing Program has introduced new entrance requirements. Students may enter the program upon the successful completion (i.e., with the grade of a "C" or better) of high school algebra II, biology, and chemistry, or college level elementary algebra (Math 0950), Biology 1010 and Biology 101L, and Chemistry 1210 and Chemistry 121L.
