Free legal clinic today in Marietta
The Washington County Bar Association and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services will offer its next free legal clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. today at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinic is for those unable to afford legal representation (less than 187 percent of the poverty guideline). The clinics are held the third Wednesday of each month.

Lunch and music Sunday at Cutler
Jim Blair and Friends will offer lunch and music from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Cutler Community Center. There will be a fee for lunch.
Marietta schools fine arts festival
The Marietta City Schools Fine Arts Festival will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Marietta High School auditorium and gymnasium. The festival celebrates the art and music of those in first through 12th grades in the district. Admission is free and there will be refreshments.
Tunnel Relay For Life team auction
The Tunnel Relay for Life team will hold its annual Handmade-Homemade auction Saturday in the multipurpose building of the Tunnel United Methodist Church on Coffman Road. The church is off Ohio 550, five miles west of Marietta. The auction begins at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5. Concessions will be available. Auctioned items will include quilts, baskets, walking sticks, stained glass, baked goods, candy and more.

Service academies seminar Thursday
Washington County high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors are invited to attend a seminar to learn more about the U.S. service academies. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown will join U.S. Sen. Rob Portman to sponsor the Southern Ohio Military Academies Informational Seminar to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the community room in the main building of Washington State Community College. The event is geared toward students interested in attending West Point, the Air Force, Naval, Merchant Marine, and Coast Guard academies. Parents, guidance counselors, and other interested individuals are also invited.
