Yard sale helps Relay For Life team
Angie's Angels, a Washington County Relay For Life team, is having a 15-team member yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at Parkersburg City Park Shelter #4. There will be household items, holiday decorations, exercise equipment, clothing and more.

School board to meet in Woodsfield
The Switzerland of Ohio Local school district Board of Education will conduct a special meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 304 Mill St., Woodsfield. The purpose of the meeting is a work session only, with no public participation. The board may also consider any other business deemed necessary.
'The Last Mountain' to be shown locally
"The Last Mountain," a documentary about mountaintop removal in West Virginia, is being shown Wednesday at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Third and Putnam streets in Marietta. Git-R-Done Girls, a Washington County Relay for Life team, is sponsoring a "Garden of Hope and Remembrance," beginning Monday through May 10 in the Washington County Courthouse courtyard. A pinwheel can be purchased for $1 with a name provided for in memory of or in honor of.

The Washington County Relay For Life team, Porterfield/Mullen Memorial, will be giving away prizes and selling baked goods from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Wendy's in Belpre.
