PARKERSBURG - Thirty-one nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley received grants from the Sisters of St. Joseph Charitable Fund in support of its vision of "healthy people in healthy communities."
At its spring meeting, the SSJCF's Board of Directors approved a total of $427,727 in funding for the following nonprofit organizations:
Oral Health Priority Area

Health Equity Priority Area
During the spring grant cycle, a new Basic Needs/Direct Service Grant Program was piloted, of which Community Resources was the first recipient. This program will be fully implemented during the upcoming fall grant cycle where a limited number of grants, each up to $5,000, will be awarded to programs providing direct service to poor and vulnerable populations in the service area.
The intent of the new grant program is to provide material aid for agency programs addressing areas of food, personal needs items and emergency assistance.
A webinar on the new grant program will be offered on June 5 at 10 a.m. To register for the webinar, email Sr. Molly Bauer at firstname.lastname@example.org by noon June 3. The deadline to submit a letter of inquiry for all grant programs is by 3 p.m. July 10.
