Dominic In Kyu Kim, 78, of Arlington, Va., passed away May 14, 2013 at Virginia Hospital Center.
He was born in Seoul, Korea and lived in Parkersburg from 1972 to 2012. As an architect for 40+ years in Parkersburg, he designed many buildings that remain a part of the town's infrastructure today. Dominic was also a talented oil and watercolor painter and much of his art still decorates his children's homes.
Dominic is survived by his son, Andrew and wife Addie Kim (Washington, D.C.); his son, Dr. Michael Kim (San Diego, Calif.); his daughter, Maeghan and husband, George Adams (Grayson, Ky.); his three grand-children, Maelynn Adams, Van Kim, and Dax Kim; and his sisters residing in Los Angeles, Calif. and Chicago, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and his wife of 22 years, Judith Kim.
