H. Thomas (Tom) Bartlett

H. Thomas (Tom) Bartlett 79, of Reno, left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday (May 18, 2013). He passed quietly at home with loved ones by his side. He was born March 5, 1934 in Fairmont, W.Va. to the late Hearl Jay and Dessie Rice Bartlett. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Paul (Joe) and Richard D. Bartlett. Tom was a long time member of Valley View Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Choir Director. He was a printer by trade, working at the Fairmont Times, Columbus Dispatch and later retired from Kardex in 1996 as the Printing Supervisor. Tom went on to drive a bus for Washington/Morgan County Community Action where he enjoyed many years with his passengers. He treasured his time with them and was often a mentor to them as well. He retired from W.M.C.C.A. on June 1, 2012. Tom is survived by his loving wife Norma J. Lott Bartlett of 35 years, six children Sondra (Bob) McIntosh and Robin (Steve) Mouser both of Reno, Scott Bartlett (Pam) of Texas, Kathee (Rick) Kelly of Florida, and Karree Bartlett, Jeff (Amy) Bartlett all of Columbus, seven grandchildren Jason Westfall, Ashley Herlan, Abraham Bartlett, Evelyn Rose and Tianna Bartlett, Kyle and Courtney Bartlett, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws Jill Bartlett and Sandy Johnson. We want to give a special thank you to our niece Delores Amos, who gave such loving care to Tom in his final days. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday (May 22, 2013) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. with Pastor Paul Morton officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com
