Robert M. 'Bob' and Lola B. Jones Tebay of Marietta are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 26. They were married May 26, 1963, at Gilman Avenue United Methodist Church by the Rev. William R. Fuller.
He is the son of the late Harry R. and Roxie Hazel Tebay. She is the daughter of the late Delbert and Norma Jones.
He retired from A.E.P. Ohio Power as a supervisor after 31 years of service. She is a retired L.P.N. from Selby General Hospital and Dr. David Spears' office after 48 1/2 years of service.
Their daughter, Debra Fitzgerald and her husband, Gary, have three children; Ashley (Michael) Bonnette; and twins, Max and Matthew Fitzgerald. Their son, Robert S. Tebay and his wife Ruth have two children; Scottie and Casey Tebay. Their daughter, Julie Tebay Fish has three children; Caleb, Juel and Sonny Fish, children of the late Chuck Fish. They all reside in Marietta
He is a long-time member of the Marietta Moose Lodge and enjoys woodworking.
She is an avid bingo player and enjoys crocheting afghans. They especially enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. For many years the younger grandchildren have called Saturdays "grandma day" and spend the day having lunch and running around town.
They have always resided in the Marietta area. The family will be celebrating with a cook-out for the couple on Memorial Day weekend.
