Armchair Travels heads to the beach
The next Armchair Travels with the theme of "Secret Beaches" will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the O'Neill Center, 333 Fourth St. Marietta with local author Lynne Bodry Shuman.
Relay For Life
The Washington County Relay For Life will have a wrap-up meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Strecker Cancer Center conference room. All teams are welcome to attend and can help select a theme for next year's relay.

Shrimp, beer dinner Friday at Post 64
American Legion Post 64, Eighth and Wooster streets in Marietta, will hold a shrimp and beer dinner and dance Friday. Dinner will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10. There will be a round and square dance from 7 to 10:30 p.m. with 4 Hits and A Miss. The cost is $4 per person. There will also be a 50/50. The event is open to the public.

The next Marietta Township Board of Trustee meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno.
Pops concert Friday at the Lafayette
The River Cities Symphony Orchestra will present the New York City Nights Pops Concert Friday at the Lafayette Hotel, 101 Front St., Marietta. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the concert at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets will be sold at the door. Beekeeping program at Barlow library
The Barlow Library will host a "Beekeeping Practices" program by Sam Hammett at 7 p.m. June 11. The event is free and open to the public.

Kyle Worstell benefit Sunday at Lowell
A benefit for Kyle Worstell will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Shelter A on Buell Island in Lowell. The cost is by donation and will go toward Worstell's medical bills following back surgery.
The pool will also be open, at normal admission prices. For those who can't attend donations can be made to the Kyle T. Worstell fund at Peoples Bank. Those who would like to donate items or baskets or sell tickets can call 984-2412 or 629-1854.
