Rabies clinic will be held July 13
A rabies vaccinations clinic for dogs and cats will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 13 at the Washington County Health Department, 342 Muskingum Drive, Marietta. The cost is $7 per animal. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. All animals must be at least 12 weeks old.

Open meeting to embrace diversity
Stone Soup, a local LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual) group will hold an open meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. June 30 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, Third and Putnam streets, Marietta. The group's goal is to embrace diversity by facilitating social gatherings and educational workshops to promote mutual respect and awareness. There will be free pizza and information about upcoming events.

Wildflower walk is planned at refuge
A wildflower walk will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge, 3982 Waverly Road, Williamstown. Master Naturalist Emily Grafton will be leading the walk and the event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Participants will take a leisurely walk through refuge trails while learning about native wildflowers, including the important uses of wildflowers that are medicinal, for pollination and environmental preservation.

Fundraiser for pantry at Salem-Liberty
The Tri-County Food Pantry Fundraiser will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. June 29 at Salem-Liberty Elementary School. The meal will include Cowboy Dan's chicken, homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls and homemade desserts. The cost of the meal will be $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. Those attending can bring a lawn chair and enjoy music provided by Picken' on Country. There will also be a country store with drawings to begin at 7:30. A raffle will also be held with tickets being sold for $1 each or six for $5 for a chance to win a homemade quilt, $100 Kroger card, $50 Lowes card and two $25 Walmart cards.
