Marion Ruth Williamson

Marion Ruth Williamson, 80, of New Matamoras, died Monday (June 24, 2013) at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on Dec. 18, 1932, in Browns-ville, Monroe County, the daughter of Charles and Estella Stickle Langsdorf. She was a member of the Matamoras First Baptist Church and graduated from Matamoras High School in 1950. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Matamoras Chapter No. 261.

On March 24, 1951, she married Raymond John Williamson who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2013. She is survived by one son, John Williamson ( Donna) of New Matamoras; and two daughters, Linda Strayer (Randy) of Bluffton, S.C., and Pam McLaughlin (Doug) of Barnesville, Ohio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Shon Semon, Luke Williamson, Katherine, Michael and Timothy McLaughlin, Scott, Ashley and Kelsey Strayer; one sister, Mary Louise Stewart of Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and one sister, Helen Dee Crawford.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (June 27, 2013) at 11 a.m. at Matamoras First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Friends may call at the Hadley Funeral Home New Matamoras Chapel on Wednesday (June 26) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Matamoras Cemetery.
