Performances are presented by Theatre de Jeunesse, a local theater arts program, with a cast of Mid-Ohio Valley young adults. The musical spins a hilarious tale of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, ditsy and dewy-eyed daughters, and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often-ridiculous dictates of honor and duty.
The production is presented with financial assistance from The Oakland Foundation, Artsbridge, the Belpre Area Community Development Foundation, the Ohio River Border Initiative (a joint project of the Ohio Arts Council and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts), The Bernard McDonough Foundation, and in partnership with Easton Printing, the Parkersburg Art Center and Allohak Council 618 of the Boy Scouts of America.
