Buddy Jack Ciccantell passed away on Sunday (July 7, 2013) at his home in Waterford, Ohio.
Buddy was born on Aug. 13, 1938, at Tamroy, West Virginia, to Sidney Faro Ciccantell and Lucy (Ellis) Ciccantell. He attended Oswald Grade School, graduated from Mt. Hope High School, and earned advanced degrees from Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. He was a Navy veteran. He worked for many years as a supervisor for the Washington County Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; and a son, Paul Sidney Ciccantell and his wife, Laura, of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Katie and Jack, a sister, Phyllis Kern, and six nieces, Gail, Rosie, Lisa, Paula, Terri and Joy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sylvia; and his brother, Mark.
As Buddy requested, his body will be cremated and his ashes strewn on the West Virginia mountains of Dolly Sods where his spirit may wander freely. There will be no visitation or services.
