Jeanette L. Haught, 78, of New Matamoras, passed away at 2:53 p.m. on Thursday (July 25, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1935, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of Charles and Emma Klima.
Jeanette was a homemaker and a member of Lawrence Baptist Church and the Women's Ministry and served the church as the janitor for 25 years. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary Post 5108 VFW, EMT intermediate for Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department and Treasurer for Washington County EMS for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She married Dean Haught who survives with five sons and three daughters: Robert Brown of Florida, Charles (Chris) Brown of Arizona, Steven Brown and friend Karen of Wisconsin, Michael (Teresa) Haught of New Matamoras, Mark Haught of New Matamoras, Deborah (Donald) Enochs of New Matamoras, Madeline (Wayne) West of Lower Salem, Teresa (Brent) Wood of Wingett Run, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Bernice Schadty of Baltimore, Md.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerod and John Klima.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (July 30) at 10 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Lawrence Cemetery. Calling hours will begin at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Monday with family greeting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
