Robert Dale Strahler, 65, loving father, son, brother, and uncle, of Little Hocking, Ohio, died on July 24, 2013, at the Memorial Campus of Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born in Lowell, Ohio, on Oct. 10, 1947, the son of Ruth Strahler of Lowell, Ohio, and the late Dale George Strahler. He was an avid auto mechanic and loved working on cars with his sons. He was a member of the American Legion in Marietta.
Survivors include his mother; his two sons, Robert Eric Strahler of Little Hocking, Ohio, Scott Dale (Janie R.) Strahler of Zanesville, Ohio; four sisters, Jane (Larry) Handschumacher, Linda (Keith) See, Karen (Frank) Davis, Sharon Warden; five brothers, Tom Strahler, Dave (Linda) Strahler, Dean (Brenda) Strahler, Dan (Debbie) Strahler, Joe (Clarissa) Strahler. Also surviving is the mother of his sons, Penny Strahler of Belpre, and 26 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers-in-law, Fred Dunfee and Lowell Warden.
Services will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Father Timothy Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and up to service time on Monday.
